about this blog

DIY (do-it-yourself)  is all the rage now, with lots of savvy internet users googling ways to build their own living room sets and create an entire funky wardrobe out of 1 shirt and 2 pairs of pants.  i’m totally on board with this whole movement of re-inventing things you already have and creating something from your bare hands rather than purchasing it from ikea (or at least altering it to make it your own unique, thrift-shop-looking find), but i also find that the whole crafting scene is really more about sharing ideas and showing off.  DIWO (do-it-with-others) is a concept that celebrates the idea of making something your own, but involving others in the process.  (but, to be completely honest, DIWO is just a space for me to ramble about whatever comes to mind)

my name is april.

i live in charlotte, nc.  i work at an art museum.

i am 26 and am the proud owner of a 3-year-old tabby named lola.
